Communicating with Style
This capacity building training examines this question “Can good communication among employees, managers, board members and volunteers help create success on the job?” This is an opportunity to develop some tools and skills that will help promote accountability and doing one’s job well through developing mutual understanding of agency members’ unique and different communication needs and motivations on the job. Prior to the training, you will have an opportunity to confidentially assess your own DiSC® behavioral style (done on-line using the DiSC® behavioral style model – results are private and confidential.)
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN - you will have opportunities to:
Identify behavioral style patterns and their impact in the work setting (employees, managers, board members, volunteers).
Review major differences in the classic DiSC® behavioral style patterns
Discuss possible ways to bring out strengths in other persons’ behavioral style patterns based on work-pace needs and motivations.
Review importance of and ways to value each behavioral style pattern which can impact organizational success.
