This Human Resources workshop will provide an overview of key issues for Directors, Managers and Office Managers who deal daily with personnel issues. Whether you’re an experienced Director or a new office manager who must deal with human resource issues, this training will provide information on developing sustainable HR policies and practices within your organization and environment. There are legal issues and ramifications that every organization should know in order to be compliant with local, state and federal laws and/or regulations. You will learn the importance of creating handbooks and written policies for employees. You will also learn the requirements for record retention regarding personnel files. We will also cover the development and the best way to deliver and conduct performance evaluations to staff members. A portion of this workshop will also provide best practices for creating documentation for employee files on disciplinary actions and proper ways to terminate an employee that will keep you out of the courtroom

Victoria Krotzer, PHR, has over 20 years of experience in human resource management. She received her Professional Certification in Human Resources in 2002. Vicki has served as the Human Resources Director and Assistant Vice President for several medium to large companies in York County with locations across eight states. She has experience in overseeing employment law throughout the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.
Ms. Krotzer served two terms as the Director of the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). She has served on the PA SHRM State Council since 2000 and is the former President of the York, PA SHRM Chapter. She currently serves on the Human Relations Expertise Panel for the national Society for Human Resource Management in Alexandria, Virginia.
Ms. Krotzer’s vast experience in human resources encompasses employee relations, unemployment, workers’ compensation, handbook and policy writing, training, FMLA, Payroll, recruiting, COBRA administration, benefits program design, negotiation and administration.
